The first factory in Ukraine for the production of diesel fuel additives based on cyclohexyl nitrate

Himpolymerprom LLC – is an Ukrainian enterprise developing in the field of chemical industry, which aims to create the first factory in Ukraine for the production of additives to improve the quality of diesel fuel based on advanced technologies actively used in EU countries and completely safe for the environment.
The important goal that we set for ourselves is to provide Ukrainian enterprises with a domestic product, which will be cheaper than imported analogues, and which will enable them to use diesel fuel more efficiently and safely.
In addition, the construction of a plant for the production of diesel fuel additives will ensure creation of new jobs, payment of taxes to the budget of Ukraine and improvement of the region's infrastructure.
About product
Cetane improver – a type of fuel additive designed to increase the cetane number of diesel fuel. Such additives will be made from cyclohexyl nitrate.
Advantages of using fuel additives for diesel:

increasing the efficiency of fuel use (the additive improves the ignition characteristics of fuel in the combustion chamber during the compression stroke);

reduced ignition delay, improved cold start;
- 03
reduction of the engine noise level (a higher cetane number allows the fuel to burn longer, so the pressure in the combustion chamber increases gradually);
- 04
extended engine life (more efficient combustion means less wear of engine components);
- 05
reduction of emissions of harmful pollutants (improved combustion efficiency leads to a decrease level of unburnt fuel and products of incomplete combustion).

Created according to European norms and standards
Diesel fuel additives are very popular in Europe, where there are many manufacturers of cetane number improvers, and their factories are also located there. There are no such enterprises in Ukraine yet. The basis for the development of the project was the experience of our European colleagues, as well as the corresponding norms, requirements and standards of the EU.

Safety for the environment and population
The process of making cetane improvers consists in the nitration of cyclohexanone with nitric acid, as a result of which such a substance as cyclohexyl nitrate is formed. The latter is the main component of the additive. In the production process, no harmful substances are released into the atmosphere, only water vapor. Wastewater is collected in a special container and taken away by a licensed enterprise for disposal. The impact on the environment and population meets all European norms and standards.
In addition, amic nitrate, which is a useful mineral fertilizer, will be produced from the waste generated in the production process.
